Gloucester Industrial Estates, said Alberts, reached 6,000,000-square-feet of commercial industrial space last year, and currently permits are out for construction of an additional 500,000 square feet in Gloucester.
And in Aldergrove, permits are out for another 250,000 square feet of industrial space, in the Aldergrove industrial area, he said.
Currently Gloucester provides employment for about 4,000, with many of those in well-paid manufacturing and skilled trade jobs, Alberts said.
