... After approving the project, the Township approached Langley's school district to apply for additional funding through the provincial Ministry of Education's School Community Connections Program.

In January, 2008, Langley school trustees learned that the MAP sports box's roof had been chosen to receive the funding, and the project was awarded an additional $165,000 by the Ministry of Education.

The project includes a 119' x 195' steel framed Cover-All fabric membrane roof that is more than 32' high at its centre.
