Patricia Elizabeth (Patti) Dale was a driving force behind the establishment of the Langley Animal Protection Society and was a tireless and long serving volunteer for the welfare of animals until losing her battle with cancer on April 14, 2005. Patti’s dream was that the Society have a proper facility to shelter and care for animals. After many years of planning, budget discussions and costing reviews, a new facility is finally under construction and will be completed before the end of 2008.

Council approved the naming of the Township’s new animal shelter as the Patti Dale Animal Shelter.
